It's clear that Oregon government is unresponsive to the needs of rural eastern residents. In Crook County the effective unemployment rate is more tha 25%. Peopla are moving elsewhere and there is almost no one moving in to the county.

In 2011 the federal forest funds will disappear. We'll be in serious trouble and I can see even the most basic services will have to be drastically reduced. Only radical tax reductions will help us survive. I realize that many programs will need to be examined.

I would suggest that any policy that does not directly effect every citizen of the state be scrutinized and eliminated where possible.
